Humans have always craved sweet food – early on it was berries and honey but then we discovered refined sugar. Dogs have also always eaten fresh fruits and many love sweet foods but refined sugar should not be a part of his diet.
We've made a BANANA dessert pudding with a difference – its dog friendly AND you can make one for your pup and another one for yourself by adding 2-3 tablespoons of refined sugar. You can then enjoy a cozy comfort food pudding with your best furry friend.
    Ingredients:
    3 Tablespoons Rolled Oats
    3 Tablespoons whole-wheat flour
    1 Tablespoon Coconut oil
    1 Tablespoon softened butter
    1-2 Tablespoons Lactose Free Milk
    1 teaspoon Baking Powder
    1 teaspoon Honey
    1 Egg
1 ripe banana - cut into long strips
Cinnamon to sprinkle on banana - (optional)
    1 pastry brush
    1 spatula
    1 wooden skewer for testing
    1 mixing bowl
    1 electric mixer
    Method
Grease pudding bowl with softened butter & pastry brush
Add dry ingredients to mixing bowl
    Add remaining – egg/yoghurt/honey/coconut oil/ mix together
Add enough lactose free milk to make mixture moist
Blend together until the pudding batter is smooth & creamy
Arrange strips of banana on the bottom of the pudding bowl – keep in mind the pudding will be upturned and the fruit will be on the top.
Bake in a moderate oven – 350F/180C for 10-15 minutes. Test with the wooden skewer – it should come out clean and dry.
Turn out onto a dish and wait until it has cooled. Decorate with natural yoghurt and fresh fruit.
Slice and serve portion slices to your pup – a small slice for a small dog and a larger slice for a bigger dog. This pudding is a sometimes food – and is meant for a special treat. Dog Birthday? Celebration? So many reasons to spoil your furry friend!
